Vocational scholarship program, initiated by our partner Childs dream foundation in Chiang Mai

With this vocational scholarship program we support highly capable individuals in maximizing their potential by continuing education. We focus on education beaus it is proven to be one of the most important factors for sustained and social and economic development.

3 – year Vocational scholarships Cost CHF 7’350.- for 10 students (8 female, 2 male)

Improve the education situation of disadvantaged children

Situation :

• In rural and isolated communities of Thailand, there are very limited upper secondary or vocational education possibilities and schools are far away

• Only financially strong families can allow their children to continue education after secondary school as costs for school fee, uniform, stationary and living away from home are significant for many disadvantaged families

High drop-out rate between secondary and upper secondary education level (high school and vocational training)

Causes :

• Lack of opportunities for employment without high school or vocational education
• Situation in underprivileged communities does not improve with the missing income generation possibilities and capacity building options

Solutions :

• Bridging the gap between basic and higher education by supporting interested and
• capable students in pursuing further education
• With our scholarships, we create opportunities for capable and highly interested students who otherwise would not have a chance to pursue education
• Child’s Dream project managers monitor and coach scholars very closely
