The Hospitality & Catering Training Center, HCTC, is a hospitality school dedicated to training young people in the field of hotel tourism (reception, service, cleaning, etc.). During lockdown, the school had to reinvent itself by finding solutions so that its students, mainly Karen, could continue to learn and do business. Since the forecast for the recovery of international tourism was pessimistic, the idea was to focus on local tourism by offering bakery products that are popular with the locals. The other advantage is that the students can stay close to their families to support each other.
The Foundation also finances scholarships for the 2-year training courses taken by 10 apprentice bakers and confectioners.
